A peak behind James’ process.

A couple of facts about how James creates his drawings;

• James draws all the pictures using Microsoft Paint and his mouse.
• He spends hours painstaking focussing on the detail which is amazing because his concentration span for anything else is very short!
• I am in awe of the result, given that I have tried to draw with Paint and can’t.

I think his pictures have evolved a lot in the second book, and I think the pictures with yellow windows are particularly engaging.

The picture I love the most though, is “guidance” from Book 2, which depicts a sage (wise person) in a temple full of books. James spent days drawing all of the books individually.

James has told me that the pictures for the next book will be created using a different style.
